柏林圍牆簡史

柏林圍牆（德語：Berliner Mauer），東德稱此牆為「反法西斯防衛牆」（Antifaschistischer Schutzwall），長約155公里，高約3至4公尺。於1961年開始建造，為二戰以後德國分裂和冷戰的重要象徵。

原先僅以鐵絲網圍起邊界，配有武裝警察沿線看守，爾後才以磚牆強化防衛，並沿牆挖掘深溝，以防任何交通工具企圖衝破牆面。除了主牆區外，還有小牆橫穿過街道，形成長達155公里的嚴密防守。

柏林市區有五類交通工具：train (S-Bahn), regional train (RE), subway (U-Bahn), buses, trams or streetcars (Strassenbahnen).

如果僅走訪柏林市區，只要買Zone AB的車票即可，此區車票已經涵蓋整個柏林市，郊區像是Sachsenhausen集中營或波茲坦(Potsdam)才需要買到Zone C的票。
